T W Parker (Cheshunt) Ltd, timber merchant in Hertfordshire

T.W. Parker was founded in 1911 by Tom Parker with £90 he and his brother inherited. His brother bought a motorbike but Tom bought some land and started a timber yard and later moved to larger premises in Palmers Green. Tom died in 1939 and passed the business to his son Leslie.
During World War II T.W. Parker manufactured ammunition boxes & lent its transport to the National Fire Service to help the war effort.
T.W. Parker is now in its fourth generation of the Parker family, with Trevor being joined by fellow directors Wayne Tarplett, Jeffrey Holbard & Paul Gifford. After relocating from Palmers Green we are now in Cheshunt in Hertfordshire.
